Myrtle Beach is a 60 mile beach playground Sand, sun and the Atlantic Ocean make this a perfect place for a beach getaway. You can easily spend your time at the beach but don't forget to check out some of the offshore fun Myrtle Beach has to offer. Take some time to hit the local shops and restaurants, take a day to spend at the Family Kindom Amusement Park, take a helicopter ride, take in some live concerts, visit the wax museum, hit the sea on some jet skies or take it a bit slower with a kayak... Wampee Stables is another guided trail ride with great reviews but sadly they do not mention anything about riding on the beach. So if you have your heart set on taking a horseback ride on the beach I would keep looking but if you are looking for a fun trail ride on your vacation this is a wonderful place to go!
2. Inletpoint Plantation
Inletpoint Plantation offers private island beach rides by appointment only. They offer beach rides, waterway rides and pony rides. To schedule a ride you must call in advance to set it up. Rides are all private and owned and operated by the family. The website offered minimal information and said they were currently closed but you should definitely give them a call and see if they are back open for business or when they will be available again.
3. Myrtle Beach Stables
Myrtle Beach Stables is family owned and has been in business for over 14 years. Rides go out in groups of 1-8 riders. Horses are suitable for all ages and skill levels. Most rides are walk only but if you may be lucky and get to trot at the discretion of your guide. On the ride you will most likely get to see rainbows, American Bald Eagles, Pelicans, starfish, jellyfish, horseshoe crabs, and if the season is right you can catch a glimpse of the whales and even some baby sea turtle. Rides are offered year around but locations may change during the season but you will have a good time no matter what season you come during. Riders over age 9 can ride on their one and and riders ages 2-8 can ride double with another rider so the entire family can enjoy the ride.
There are other stables listed when you’re searching for options that offer guided horseback rides on the beach but most of them are more structured for long term lessons and horse boarding. All of the other stables listed above are great options for beautiful beach rides that will be enjoyed by the entire family while horseback riding in Myrtle Beach. Enjoy the ride!
